 FORT did not go as far as actually believing that this was the truth ( he said he never believed anything of him he had ever written ), yet this quote shows that even his small ironical comments may contain valuable insights.

 FORT, however, is hardly the authority one would use to impress skeptical scientists, so I am referring to his thoughts only to point out a further ’father’ of the theory.
